JULY 11th at 3pm – 5pm  AND 6pm – 8pm
Roll up your sleeves and come play with thousands of LEGO’s at Nativity Prep gymnasium!

DATMA’s inaugural public events will take place as part of Summer Winds 2019—a celebration of New Bedford’s emerging leadership in wind energy. Alongside wind-themed international exhibitions and collaborative programs with partners from arts and culture, science, and technology, 25 families are invited to participate in a fun 2-hour workshop where you’ll be surrounded by piles of LEGOs and build 3-4 ft high windmills.  All windmills will then be placed on a large map of Buzzards Bay where participants will learn more about the wind energy efforts coming to the region. Thanks to the generosity of Orsted & Eversource these events are totally FREE to participants. Don’t miss the fun!

This project is created & hosted by architect/designer Stephen Schwartz, who has been hosting family building workshops for 20 years worldwide. The New Bedford Building Blocks Workshop is brought to you by AHA! New Bedford as part of DATMA’s Summer Winds season’s programs. Learn more and sign up, go to:
