| Student Admissions
Thank you for your interest in Nativity Preparatory School. The Application for Admission, Transcript Release Form, and two Recommendation Forms are available to be picked up at the Nativity Preparatory School. We recommend that your son accompany you when you visit the close to get an application. Enclosed in the Application Packet are the Admission Application Instructions listed below. Please follow the instructions in the packet carefully.
1. Please complete the Application for Admission and return it as soon as possible to Nativity Prep in the return envelope provided in the application packet. Please note that, since Nativity Prep is a tuition-free school, your application must include copies of your most recent Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040 or equivalent) and 2007 W-2 forms. If you do not file tax returns, you must submit an authorized letter or form from a state or federal agency stating your sources and amounts of income aid. We will not admit students to the school without current family income information.
2. Please fill out and sign the Release Form for School Transcript of Grades (blue form). Deliver the form and the return addressed stamped envelope to your son’s current school, and ask that a copy of his academic record be faxed or sent directly to Nativity Prep in the envelope provided.
3. Please give a Recommendation Form (yellow form) and stamped return addressed envelope to two of your son’s teachers, one of whom must be teaching your son now, and ask that the completed form be returned directly to Nativity Prep in the envelope provided. The teachers should know your son well and be able to evaluate his character and abilities.
4. When all the necessary paperwork has been received, Nativity Prep will call to schedule an Interview for the student and all parents or guardians. Interviews typically last approximately 30 minutes. Both the applicant and his parent(s) or guardian(s) must read the Nativity Preparatory School Student/Parent Handbook carefully and be prepared to discuss it during their Admissions Interview.
5. Before the interview, a time will be scheduled for your son to take the Nativity Admissions Test. The next scheduled Admissions Test is April 16, 2008. The test will begin at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately two hours. The required Admissions Test will only be given to students whose applications has been received by the school. If for good reason your son cannot take the Admissions Test on the scheduled date, please call the school to reschedule. |
